Jerry Lindell, 84, had been rehabilitating at Meeker Manor in Litchfield, Minnesota, following a hospital stay when the nursing home went on lockdown. It was the longest he and his wife Beverley had ever been apart in their 63 years of marriage, NBC affiliate KARE reported.
With the help of their daughter Loriee Barnes, Jerry gave Beverley the surprise of her life when he showed up at their home on her birthday on March 26 after checking out of the assisted living facility.
